The next Alber Elbaz?

Throw my blog I started e-mailing back and forward with Olivia, a 16 years old girl from Raanana who loves fashion. In one of her e-mails she told me that one of her friends from school is an amazing fashion designer and that I have to meet him, I was more then happy to set a meeting with him as soon as possible!I met him two days ago in is house and saw two racks filled with amazing clothes that he designed! His name his Ofir Ivgi ,he has been designing for the past 8 years (since he was only 8!! It's crazy) !

he is such a nice guy and a great designer and I think the future holds only good thing for him, I'd love to meet him again and see some more of his work.

Who knows maybe one day we'll see him showing his collection in Paris fashion week..

I decided to dedicate a post to menswear after reading Sefi complaint that there aren't enough bloggers who post about meswear.
I wrote this post a while ago but don't know why I decided to post just now! I always have to remmber what Heidi Klum says in project runway "In fashion, one the your in and the next day your out" , I can't wait with my post that long.

So let's talk about the menswear trends for s\s 09' the caught my eyes :
Yellow – it is one of my favorite menswear trend ! I loves seeing all the yellow on the runway! I think Missoni and Burberry Prorsum did an awesome job with this trend..

You could see it in Comme des Garçon collection for H&M and in CDG ,Blaak and Ann Demeule collections .

Feminine Details – the neckline detailing and the man clutch that you saw on some of the runways were too much for me, when I saw it the only thing I could think about was that I don't want my man to barrow my clutch when we go out to dinner.

A while ago I bought a lot of studs and started adding them to things, the first thing that I did was to take a simple oversize black tank from my dad and added 3 studs on each shoulder strap. it's easy to do and I think it looks great.

I'm really into DIY project right now, Lately I've been making a lot of necklaces! I think my next project is going to be studded boots.. If you have any ideas for DIY project - let me know..

After seeing Comme des Garçon for H&M collection, I realized - polka dots are making a comeback! the stripes pushed them aside for a while, but now they are back!

look what I've got

A year and a half ago I went to Leor Optica with a friend , I tried on a pair of ray ban wayfarers and said that one day I'll own them. Today is the day. I finally bought ray ban wayfarers!
too bad it took me so long!

One pair of glasses wasn't enough , so I bought Dolce and Gabbana eyeglasses too. My DKNY eyeglasses were getting old.

About a week ago we discovered that my little brother needs glasses, when I was at his age I found out that I need glasses. Back then I hated the fact that I need glasses, I didn't have the power to deal with all teasing in school .. with all the name calling.. nowadays I love it , I get to buy designer glasses once a year and I don't have to wear them all the time (I can see without my glasses , I don't have to drive with them or to read with them..). I'm wearing them only when I feel like it, when it looks good with my outfit or when I'm in the mood (I love wearing them in tests, it makes me feel smart.. )
I hope my little brother will pass the "I hate my glasses" stage and realize that once a year her gets to go shopping and buy a new pair of designer glasses.

לפני שבוע גילינו שאחי הקטן צריך משקפי ריאה ,בדיוק בגיל שגילו שאני צריכה. כשהייתי קטנה שנאתי את זה שאני צריכה משקפיים , לא היה לי כוח להתמודד עם כל ההצקות בביה"ס.. עם כל הילדים שקוראים לך "משקפופרית" ו"חננה".. היום אני אוהבת את זה שיש לי משקפים, ככה יש לי את האפשרות לקנות משקפי מעצבים פעם בשנה ואני גם לא צריכה ללכת איתם תמיד ( אין לי בעיית ראייה אלא פזילה כך שאני גם לא חייבת לנהוג עם משקפיים וזה גם לא משפיע לי על הפרופיל בצבא). עכשיו אני לובשת את המשקפים שלי רק שזה מתאים לי לבגדים או למצב רוח ( אני אוהבת להיות עם המשקפיים במבחנים, זה גורם לי להרגיש חכמה.).
אני מקווה שאחי הקטן יעבור מהר את שלב שנאת המשקפיים ויבין שפעם בשנה הוא זוכה ללכת ולקנות איזה זוג משקפיים שבא לו של איזה חברה או מעצב שבא לו :)
ולכל המשקפופרים שבינינו יש בונוס נוסף – אנחנו חייבים לקנות משקפי שמש ממותגים ולא יכולים לקנות סתם זוג בשוק , כי הרי צריך עדשות עם מספר! טוב אפשר לקנות גם כמה זוגות מהשוק, אבל חייבים גם את אלה של הפירמה.

BTW - my school trip was to Eilat..

I'm back

In the past two years on my annual school trip I tried to go with a theme when it comes to my clothes. Last year I wore a different pair on sunglasses every day for seven days ,and choose the clothes so they would look good with the sunglasses. This year I tried the Chuck Bass look ( from Gossip Girl) - and wore a signature scarf.. I made sure every outfit looks good with my yellow pashmina scarf. I wish I had a record of what I wore every day.

I had a lot of fun ,too bad it's my last school trip.

בשנתיים האחרונות בטיול השנתי אני מנסה ללכת עם איזה שהוא נושא לבגדים שלי. שנה שעברה כל יום לבשתי זוג משקפי שמש אחר והתאמתי את הבגדים למשקפיים. השנה החלטתי ללכת על המראה של צ'אק בס ( מאחת שיודעת , למי שלא הבינה ) - ללכת עם צעיף מזהה.. לקחתי בגדים כך שכל בגד יראה טוב עם הצעיף פשמינה הצהוב שלי, גם הבגדים לערב החופשי ולמסיבה השכבתית. ככה על יום לבשתי אותו ,אני די מצטערת שאין לי תיעוד של מה שלבשתי כל יום בטיול.. הפקרתי את המצלמה בידי ידיד שלי ובקושי יש לי תמונות שלי. היה כיף ומצחיק. חבל שזה הטיול שנתי האחרון.
