Bezalel's 100th Class

Some of you may remember my last experience from Jerusalem. I came back thinking it's a boring city that i don't want to visit again.. but when I heard about the End of Year Exhibition of Graduates of Bezalel's 100th Class I knew I had to take the train to Jerusalem again. Finding a partner for this trip wasn't really easy – cause most of my friends remembered the stories from the last trip, eventually my friend Gil said she will come with me. We planed the entire day – starting in the Exhibition afterward a walk on the boardwalk and ending the day in the western wall. We spent so much time in the Exhibition that we ended up having no time for anything else, I loved it! The Graduates of Bezalel did an amazing job!
A few days ago my mother said she thinks I'm starting to give up on my dream – studying fashion in NY – and I must say that after seeing the Campus in Jerusalem I might consider studying in Israel.

חלקכם בוודאי זוכרים את הזיכרונות שהיו לי מירושלים , בנסיעה הקודמת התרשמתי ממנה כעיר משעממת שאין בה יותר מידי מה לעשות. הייתי זקוקה לחוויה מתקנת , לא ידעתי שהיא תהיה כ"כ קרובה לחוויה הקודמת אך כך יצא. התערוכה של בוגרי בצלאל נפתחה מלפני חודש ומאז ששמעתי על פתיחתה ידעתי שאני רוצה לנסוע, הנסיעה לי-ם קצת הרתיעה אותי ואת חברותיי אך בסוף הצלחתי לשכנע את חברתי גיל לבוא איתי משום שרצתה לבקר גם בכותל באותה הזדמנות. ארזנו את חפצינו ונסענו לתערוכת בוגרי ה100 של בצלאל , היום היה מתוכנן כך שנהיה בתערוכה אח"כ בטיילת האז ולבסוף בכותל אך מרוב שהתערוכה ריתקה אותנו היינו שם שעות רבות שלא תוכננו וכך יצא שחוץ מבתערוכה ומבקניון מלחה לא ביקרנו בשום מקום נוסף.

לפני כמה זמן אמא שלי אמרה שנראה לה שאני מתחילה לרדת קצת מהחלום של לטוס וללמוד אופנה בניו יורק , כמובן שמיהרתי להגיד לה שהיא טועה. אך אחרי הביקור שהיה לי בבצלאל אני חייבת להגיד שממש התרשמתי לטובה, ואולי אבל אולי אני אשקול לימודים בארץ. הקמפוס מדהים ביופיו והעבודות של הבוגרים פשוט מדהימות! אני מאמינה שמעכשיו הנסיעה לתערוכת הבוגרים תהפוך אצלי לדבר קבוע ומידי שנה אפקוד אותה. מחר זה היום האחרון – אז אם יש לכם הזדמנות לכו תתרשמו!

סוף הוא התחלה חדשה

The latest addition to my family is a baby boy called Noam , this past Thursday our family gathered to celebrate. Since it was the day after my graduation party i woke up really late and had about 5 seconds to get ready , I wore this forever 21 dress and gladiator sandals that I "improved"..

Gladiator sandals is a trend I passed sometime in the summer of 08' , I was in peace with the fact I'm never going to wear gladiator shoes, only because i hate buying something the everyone wears! One day when i was buying fabrics to my prom dress an idea popped to my head, I thought about a cool way to alter those regular rubber gladiator sandals.. I went to but all the materials that I need and made the shoes as soon as i got home! Since then I always wear them.. I think they make every outfit look good.. I got a lot of compliments on the street and I've been told that I should sell them , what do you think? Would you buy something like this?

יש למשפחתי תוספת חדשה העונה לשם נועם , בצהרי חמישי האחרון כל המשפחה התכנסה באולם אירועים על חוף הים לברית של העולל החדש. עקב היותה של הברית יום אחרי מסיבת סיום קמתי 5 דק' לפני שהיינו צריכים להיות באולם והיו לי בערך 5 שניות להתארגן , הוצאתי מארוני את השמלה הזאת של פוראבר 21 וצירפתי עליה זוג נעלי גלדיאטור ששיפצתי..

נעלי גלדיאטור זה טרנד שויתרתי עליו מתישהו בקיץ 08', ברגע שאני לא תופסת את הטרנד בהתחלה לפני שהוא מגיע לשיאו אני מעדיפה לוותר עליו ולא להכניס אותו לארוני בכוח.. כך היה עם הגלדיאטור. עד שבזמן שיטוטי בנחלת בנימין עלה לי רעיון לראש, דרך מגניבה לשפצר את הנעל כדי שלא תיראה כמו סתם עוד נעלי גלדיאטור או עוד גלדיאטור עם ניטים.. באותו רגע שהרעיון עלה לראשי הלכתי לחנות סידקית וקניתי את המצרכים הנדרשים ועליתי מהר לקנות את הנעליים, איך שהגעתי הביתה חיברתי את הכל יחידיו והתוצאה לפניכם.. בערך מאז שהנעליים מוכנות הן דבוקות לרגליי , אני ממש מרגישה שהם משדרגים כמעט כל אאוטפיט! התגובות עליהם ברחוב היו חיוביות ביותר ואף מס' אנשים אמרו שאני צריכה להתחיל למכור אותם , מה דעתכם? הייתם רוכשים זוג נעליים כאלה?

Coco Avant Chanel

I just came back from the opening of the French Film Festival in Tel Aviv Cinematheque, I went to see the film "Coco before Chanel", the director Anne Fontaine, was also there to talk about the film. The movie is about the life of the famed French fashion designer Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. it tells her story from growing up in as an orphanage kid with no money and means to a fashion legend. The film was fascinating, I came with some concerns because of the French , up until now I tried to avoid movies that are not in Hebrew or English because I thought the sound of a language I don't know will bother me , but it didn't and in a way I'm sorry I avoided French movies. I enjoyed every minute and not because I love fashion - the film film was just great!! Audrey Toto did an amazing job, the sets were stunning and Karl Lagerfeld did an excellent job with the clothes ( after all he is Karl Lagerfeld).Coco's Simple classic and elegant style gives you sooo much inspiration. I strongly recommend to go to the movies!

I had to use Coco's style as my inspiration to the movie outfit so I wore a classic dress that I got in the market a year and half ago, Isaac Mizrahi for target heels, a second hand black blazer, moschiono purse and of course a pearls necklace .

בדיוק חזרתי מפתיחת פסטיבל הקולנוע הצרפתי בסינמטק תל אביב, הלכתי לראות את הסרט "קוקו לפני שאנל" שבו גם הייתה הבמאית אן פונטיין שבאה לדבר קצת על הסרט. הסרט מספר על האישה והאגדה גבריאל "קוקו" שאנל, מהילדה שגדלה בבית יתומים ללא כסף ואמצעים עד לאגדת האופנה שזכתה לכבוד בכל בית. הסרט היה מקסים , באתי עם חששות מהצרפתית , עד עכשיו נמנעתי מלראות סרטים בשפות שהם לא עברית או אנגלית כי חשבתי שהשפה הלא ממש מוכרת תשמע לי קצת מוזר באוזן אך הצרפתית לא הפריעה לי בשום צורה ודי הצטערתי שעד עכשיו נמנעתי מללכת לסרטים צרפתיים. נהניתי מכל רגע ולא רק בגלל היותי חובבת אופנה - זה היה סרט טוב לכל דבר שבמקרה דיבר על אגדת אופנה. אודרי טוטו עשתה עבודה מדהימה, הסטים היו מהממים וקארל לגרפלד עשה עבודה מצוינת עם הבגדים. הסטייל הפשוט הקלאסי ואלגנטי של קוקו נותן לך השראה לאורך כל הסרט , כמה שהערכתי את האישה הזאת עד היום הערכתי עליה גדלה פי שתיים. אני ממליצה בחום ללכת לסרט , אם אני לא טועה הסרט יוצא לאקרנים ברחבי הארץ ב11 לחודש.

ביום שישי הקרוב מציג הסרט "איב סאן לורן תשוקה ללא הרף" בשעה 2 בסנימטק ת"א , אני מתכוונת לפקוד את האולם , מקווה לראות גם אותכם.

את הלבוש לסרט הייתי חייבת לעשות בהשראתה של קוקו , אז לבשתי שמלה קלאסית ומחויטת שמצאתי לפני שנה וחצי בשוק בצלאל ועד עכשיו סתם ישבה בארוני ,יחד עם נעלי עקב של אייזק מזרחי לטרגט, ג'קט שחור מחויט מויצ"ו, קלאץ' של מוסקינו ואיך אפשר בלי שרשרת פנינים.

Fashion Show

I never really wrote on my blog about the fashion show I got to be a part of in August.. As some of you know I took summer classes in LIM and one of the classes was Fashion Show Production Course, We got to Plan our own fashion show in just a week , to deiced what the purpose of the show is , the theme, venue , budget and everything else! I had no idea that it takes so much to plan a fashion show!
We were divided into three teams – Style , Stage and Promotional
I was in Promotional team we had to get sponsors for our show , make the goodie bags , make the invitations , and we tried really hard to get someone from the fashion industry to come! It was a lot of fun I was e-mailing , faxing ,and calling people and magazines all day long!

The theme for our fashion show was the 20's with edge , we got sephora H2O and another bids store as our sponsors! One of the girls in the course got a model to come and teach us how to walk on the runway and how to pose to the cameras, and a professional photographer came and took our pictures while getting ready and walking on the runway!
We didn't have enough models so I had to model =) and I asked my friend Lee to model too ..
It was a great experience and I'd love to be a part of another fashion show production in the future!

29/8- Hand Me down

My Journey in new york continued..in the second day in the course we went to hand me down showroom , we met the owner Frank Yamamoto,he told us how he got to be a showroom owner..

in his showroom he have 4 t-shirts labels for guys (like scifen)..

he works with companies Urban outfitters and big tom (in tel aviv) which is really cool cause i love those stores! it was one of the best days! and Frank was so nice..

my old white keds weren't so white anymore, so I bought a new pair .. and another pair in black..

I just love this shoes, they are so comfortable and they look fab!

I love the dress that my friend lee wore to the launching , you can wear it in so many ways.. she doesn't get it and wears it only as a default but at least she wears it.
